Normal I am not very keen on eyeshots. But this was very nice.... The color in the background to the left is fantastic and adds to the colors of the wildebeest....

Good details on the eye and I like that I see the ear.

I like the detail around the eye, but as an alternate opinion, I find that the diagonal white edge of the ear tends to lead my eye away from the wildebeest's eye and out of the frame.

Love the perspective Vincent! The detail is great and the eye a point of focus! However I do echo Steve's comment about the ear, maybe including the entire ear would have made a difference. On the other hand this way you bordered the shot with the ear very nicely. A very personal discussion + I still love the shot in any case, well done!

Interesting take on this from Steve and Krijn. I think the white on the cheek and ear lead to the eye.
