This was shot hand held through glass with a flash. I had my 180 macro on and this guy was pretty close to the front. There has been no crop and I tried to compose the best that I could with the situation at hand.

Great details and very sharp. Technically great. My only negative is the tight framing but it sounds like that could be avoided.

Thanks Robert, I was afraid to back off of the glass for fear of glare and this is uncropped. If there are any techniques to use the flash through glass other than being right up on the glass I would love to hear them. Thanks Again!

Wish I could help you with the flash/glass thing but I always blow it. You did a remarkable job for the situation - it's so sharp from front to back and the colors are really intense!

I have to agree with the others. This image is sharp beyond reproach. The detail is fabulous. But I just don't like the tight composition.

I like the composition and would welcome any details about mounting of the flash. Was it on a side bracket? Thanks.
