Hi, here's a male green honeycreeper from the Arenal Volcano area of Costa Rica. I appreciate any comments!

Pura Vida Greg!
Very nice looking guy! can't ask for better details! Besides the solid color BG, the perch has a very nice texture, well done.

Looks really good on my monitor Greg! The perch is a little big, but it doesn't overpower. I like the composition; the bird is placed perfectly in the frame.

Lovely capture Greg of a beautiful honecreeper. I have seen the red legged honey creepers but not the green . Excellent lighting color and detail and a wonderful catchlight in the eye. Many thanks for sharing.

What a bold and beautiful bird!! I love the detail in the wings. I am tempted to say the back of the head looks rather bright...but having never seen this species before I gather it is the way it should be?

I have seen these birds in the same NP and ever since have dreamt of a shot like this one. Beautiful perch, colours, excellent composition and good headturn! Would get rid of the bare patches right below its head as this bird and shot certainly deserves the best looking plumage.

Love that bird, Greg. Beautiful head-angle, nice background. Didn't get to see one of those when I was there.
I just sent in a registration form for the Apr. trip with Doug Brown. Please say we're in.

Hi, and thanks to all for your comments. I really was happy to get such a clean shot of this guy. Krijn, I'm generally not a big fan of cloning in this sense, but the bird is such a good-looking guy that I am tempted to fix his feathers a bit as you suggested.

Cheers,
Greg
