Hugh, this is a really fine image. I like it alot! My only nit is in this web version on my monitor, the bird itself could be a bit sharper. I would like to see the subject "pop' a bit more. I imagine it does in a larger version.

Very nice, that shot has it all to my eye.

Great shot, sharpness seems fine to me. Love the colours.

I got such a kick out of this image. He's so small and yet he has taken the pose of the adult. I really like the BG.....colorful, smooth and yet has the blurred grasses to give depth. I think the sharpness is perfect......those little lint balls are hard to get just right and this one is fine. Well done.

A really cracking image and one that would have worked well in portrait with the reflection

I like this image a lot. The pose, setting and BG complement each other very well. Sharpness looks good. To Bonnie: the plumage of chicks is very fluffy and always appears a bit soft. I noticed that with piping plover chicks last summer. If anything, I could see this a tad brighter.

This is a fine image of a pretty cute chick. I like this a lot. Your timing was perfect.

The low perspective brings an intimate feel to the image which complements the subject matter well. The head seems slightly softer than the rest of the body (on my monitor), but not distracting in my opinion.
