Beautifully done, Fabs--This image has fantastic color, great separation of the subjects, the darker horizon on the bottom gives the birds a reference point, they are not just floating out there. Very nice!

Beautiful colours and I like the symmetry of the birds. I agree with Bonnie about the darker horizon at the bottom. Lovely photo.

Love these silhouetted cranes depicted aginst the beautiful orange/yellow sunset with plenty of space for the birds to fly into. Can't suggest any improvement - beautiful as is!!

Judicious use of colour filter and very interesting composition. The dark strip on the bottom adds another dimension or relief to the image.
Very clever !

Very very nice image. Perfect color tones with gradual color progression from top worked out very well.

The similar poses are great but the gradual colors of the BG really make this one for me.

Hi Fabs, very nice color gradient in the sky. Many people may have been tempted to level the horizon, but I think the slight incline adds interest to the photo, changing the nature & energy of the flight path.

If the birds are as-is right out of the camera, then a big tip of the hat! If not, please let us know <smile>

I'm guessing they are. If you were referring to position I would think if Fabs had manipulated she would have gone with slightly more separation. Unless she thought people would expect that so she didn't. I'm thinking too much now.

Yes, they are. This is 90% of the frame, taking some of top and left.
The gradient is added and the neutrals are made darker is selective colors as I disclosed.

Neil, it's a mountain going up, I can't level it :)

Thanks everyone!

Then hats off it is. With the perfect wing postions, this is as good or better than any SILHs that I have ever seen from the crane pools.
