Jim
What I like most about the Nighthawk is that the wings are up.....a most unusual pose for the Nighthawk. I think this is the first image I've ever seen where the Nighthawk wasn't anything more than a "condensed mass of feathers with an eye" on a perch. An excellent capture.....especially in the eyes of a birder!!!!

I can't tell if the head is sharp--from the small size it's hard to judge, so please excuse me if I'm wrong. I would be tempted to suggest that you remove the weeds on either side of the post.

Agree with David on the weeds Difficult to tell on the head due to the bird coloring The pose is spectacular and intimacy way over the top One Killer image Big Congrats !!!

I have never seen this bird, so cool looking!

Judging by the pole and the margins, it need a bit of rotation.

This is awesome Jim, my only thing would be the little trees in the bottom of the image. I would clone that out.

I'd be thrilled to have this -- exactly as it is! In all my shots of these they are perched.
