Hello all,

A friend of mine is flying next week from Europe to US.

We have heard that new rules are applied in US for spare batteries.

My question is : how many spares EN-EL3e and EN-EL4a can he carry in his bag ?

Thanks for your replies.

Jean-Philippe.

If you place them in plastic bags they will be fine

Probably would take one spare with me and any extras with check in baggage to be safe !!!

Hello Alfred,

First, thanks for your reply.

If I have well understand, each spare battery must packed individually in a plastic bag ? Not all in the same plastic bag.

Probably would take one spare with me and any extras with check in baggage to be safe !!!

I have read that it is now forbidden to put batteries in checked baggages. Thus my informations are not correct.

I just flew in and out of vegas with my photo trekker loaded with spare batteries last week. I had them all with the battery covers in a zip lock. no hassles either in LAS or MIA.

I think they don't like them loose. if they are with the plastic caps on them, they're fine.
