Terrific feather detail Ron! Love the eye and the exposure too. I would probably crop out a big portion of the OOF wing; it doesn't add to the photo and it moves the bird's head farther right in the frame than I'd like it to be. Thanks for posting!

Very nice details and eye contact. Fill flash would have helped with the parts in the shade.

I like the composition and the detail/sharpness Ron. 'Last light' looks a bit harsh though, maybe you could try to make the light look a bit softer and or warmer.

Love the crisp red eye. The COMP is good also. See the new Linear Curves thread in Educational Resources to learn how to get some more density and detail in the highlights that are a bit washed out. I am not sure about the two-toned angled BKGR.

Well, I envy you this image because as common as doves are around here, I have yet to be able to get a decent photo of one, let alone this close up! The detail is great, I do wish the upper part of the head was also in focus, but it doesn't ruin the image. I like how the bg colors are perfectly coordinated with the bird's coloration.
