beautiful shot. I like the dark green BG and the composition.
maybe a little fill flash would have made the colors a bit brighter.

Wow! A lovely bird and a lovely image. Love the colors and the perch and the post and the head angle.

Try going to Hue/SAT and moving the Lightness slider (only) to the right a bit to brighten the image.

I love the pose, and the perch. I agree with Markus that the colors are somewhat toned down. Perhaps adding some saturation would help. Overall this is a nice portrait of a beautiful bird.

Lindo, lindo, Fernando. Really nice shot of a very cool bird. I don't even mind the fencepost perch as I'm guessing this is typical for these guys. Colors and tone look good on my laptop but I'm guessing the suggestions of the others would probably help improve this fine image.

Cheers,
Greg

Thanks guys, the repost looks splendid ! It would be great to know what exactly you did !

Just for clarification, perch is not a fence post.

Great image Fernando and the repost looks even better! I like the position of the bird on the perch with the partly fanned tail completely visible. The perch is a bit of an awkward one though.

I added a hue/saturation adjustment layer and added some saturation. Then I added some contrast using the brightness/contrast adjustment layer. Finally I brightened just the eye using levels and a layer mask. All edits were done in Photoshop Elements.

If you have the full Photoshop, you could get a better result by using curves instead of brightnes/contrast.

The repost is a big improvement but I would like to see it just brighter with a bit less SAT.
