Utter simple beauty. Feels like standing on the beach on a planet with nothing and no one at all anywhere within a million miles.

Layton,

I think this one's composition is more well proportioned then the other post. Rule of Thirds composition works nicely here. I posted a RoT grid on the image so others could see how well Layton framed this image.

I like the FG's texture a lot and think that really makes the image by having an interesting FG.

I noticed the great composition right away as well. You could just TELL it was right. Of course, that was after I stopped staring at the beautiful golden color that is washed over the entire image...

Lovely image, Layton!

Hi Layton,
Very well composed and beautiful golden tones. (Thanks Robert for the grid example!). Originally I was going to tell you to try a slow shutter speed with this type of image..........but even at ISO 100 and f22..............you'd still be around 1/200th of a second..........not slow enough........so never mind! You 've definitely drawn us into the image.

This one belongs on the wall. I love everything about it. Especially the dof and the golden colors.
