Hi Patrick! I like the pose here, and much of the bird is in good focus. I'd like to see some selective sharpening of the head and eye. I'd run some NR on the BG, although it still looks great for ISO 1250. The BG is somewhat distracting, and there's a bit too much OOF perch. Thanks for posting!

Much better Patrick! I'd probably do something with the large white areas on the left too.

I agree that the out of focus areas are a bit distracting, but I like the sharpness (after edit), and colors. The main nit for me would be the head angle.

Very nice image overall though!

Always nice to see a kingfisher and the repost is a great improvement. The picture is a bit too "in your face" for me but you did a beautiful job with it. The light spot on the left is distracting.
