African White-backed Vulture, dropping in on a Impala carcass, killed and left by a Leopard the previous night.
They sure are more impressive airborne than land based!
Sth Luangwa Nat Park - Zambia.

Nikon D2Xs, 300 f/2.8 VR, ISO 100, f/3.5, 1/1250s@300.

Great incoming pose, underwing details and eye contact. It is a bit tight in the frame for my taste and you could try to tone down the highlights more. There is a S/H and a sharpening halo visible.

I made every effort for this to not occur.

Beautiful Marc I can see how these are a nightmare for exposing !!! Need perfect settings and luck !!!

Love the pose and intense look !!! Very good exposure and detail Agree on the crop suggestion !!

I see the halos, and they are easily overcome in ps, I like the crop a lot, and the detail on the bird is fantastic., wonderful image.
