From the same night still. I have learned that the light beams are called anti-crepusculars, opposite of the setting sun. I have never seem them so strong, and especially not accompanying a rainbow. I might put up a pano of just the sky if anyone is interested.

Thanks for looking,
Paul

you must spend all hour free time out there, Paul, Nobody covers the Glades landscape like you do :)
I think it may need a bit of CCW rotation.

Way to go!

This is a fantastic example of anti-crepuscular rays. Atmospheric optics at their best!

Wow - what an amazing image! I had to look up the Anticrepuscular rays. Wikipedia has a nice pano illustration of it showing the setting sun on one end and the rays on the "anti-solar" end converging too.

Of course, they don't have dramatic thunderheads, rainbows, water reflection and clear foreground water.... Great image!

I am going to have to come down sometime and go out with you Paul, to photograph that is. :)

Great looking image - agree on the rotation comment.

Hey Paul,
I see there is an upside to getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and being there in July and August! I don't see many thunder heads when I am down in Dec. and January.......guess I'll have to pop down one time and become bait.
Super drama and as always very nice use of FG.

Way to capture the show! Those rays really look great in there, and the rainbow is a real bonus.

You have a great knack for capturing the everglades. Your inspirational to everyone who clicks a camera. I love the burst and the rainbow.
