This was taken last week at Gree Cay from the boardwalk. I was standing watching a whistling duck when the this mottled duck tookoff in front of me. I qucikly grabbed a few images and of course if the shutter speed had been higher I would not have had the blurred wings but in this case I do like what the shutter speed at 1/500 accomplished.

I like it a lot. great wing pose. the motion blur of the wing tips is wonderful.
the only thing that I think could have improved this shot is a more beautiful BG, for example green water (tree reflections). But you have to take what's there.

Well done Judy! The wing blur is what makes this picture for me. You got eye contact and the head is sharp. Like the composition too.

Hi Judy,
I like the angle of this one. The blurred wing tips are a nice contrast to the sharp middle body.

I love this alot Judy! The frontal pose is great and the blurred wings give it such a great sense of motion! Frankly speaking for such images, I prefer some wing blur than completely frozen wings. :)
