Got this Merops philippinus at Candaba wetlands (Philippines) a few days ago.
40D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4x TC, bean bag
700 mm, 1/320 sec, f/8, ISO 200, manual exposure in available light
70% of full frame, cloned out a couple of branchlets at the bottom, background is OOF pond water

Yet again Romy another beautiful image from the Candaba Wetlands. I will have to visit one of these days.

The light on this bird is just beautiful
The detail is 'top drawer'
I think it is the same species as the Rainbow Bee Eater in Australia
Overall a most pleasant image to view.

Wonderful light and great detail. I love the smooth blue background. Looks like a small little guy.
