Sweet golden hues, Layton, almost like a sepia tint. I'd probably tale sp,e pf the sharpening away from the immediate foreground. Nicely seen and done :)

I like your colors and layers in this, each with a different texture, simple and elegant.

Hi Layton,
Nice layers to this image. I agree with Fabs about pulling back the sharpness a touch in the FG and may also accentuate the sepia tone and clouds even a bit more. Personal taste there.......but overall a nice seascape.

Well I am a sucker for these images since I make them a lot - well done Layton.

I would have put the sun more in the 1/3 vertical in the right section for a RoT composition. I like the FG texture (agree with comments to reduce sharpening there). You handled the subtle tones well w/o posterization.

I didn't sharpen the image. I was trying to capture the shimmering water as the last wave returned to the sea. Could the shadow highlight tool cause a sharpening effect, maybe the curves adjustment?

Well its gonna get the rot police blowing whistles, but I think a crop to center the sun makes a great image. It accentuates the layers and brings the shimmer in the sand into a more prominent role. That's my take at least.

Seeing your other, newer one, I went looking for others you might have posted, and I found this. Ahhhhh...

Between the two, I think the calmness in the other one gives it the edge, but the waves in this one evoke good feelings too.
