I think the mallard is an often overlooked bird because it is so common, well I was quite taken by the muted colours. As always I will appreciate your comments, positive or negative. Thanks for looking.

Very nice soft light, calm water and details. It needs 1.27 degrees CW rotation. If you use the ruler tool and draw a line from the eye to the eye in the reflection you can check in rotate canvas if it needs adjustment.

Great details, nice light, IMO it only looks a little bit washed out, I would increase the blacks a bit in selective color.

Agree with all of the above. Beautiful smooth water and a very pleasing reflection. Like the fine feather detail as well good exposure.

Thanks for the critique, much appreciated, regards being level, I think it is, I checked the bubble on the tripod, the duck was swimming quite purposefully and I think at this point the front end is dipping due to the fact that the feet are pushing, as it dipped forwards slightly.
