A very nice final portrait! You did well with the stacked TCs. I look forward to next year!

I love the eyes. I see lot of you doing stacked TCs. I guess, I have to try it in my next trip. How much is the difference in quality?

Thanks for the comments.
Harold, I had two different families I checked on this summer. Nice to know there are now at least 5 new owls in the area.
Sabyasachi, there is a bit of a loss in fine detail when using the stacked TCs but since razor sharp feather/fur detail is not my main priority and I shoot in a lot of low light anyway, it hasn't been that big of a deal for me. I also tend to try the combo just for the challenge. Whether or not the quality is acceptable depends on your intended output and personal standards of IQ. Here's a 100% view of an unprocessed image taken from a distance of about 5m.

Thanks Raymond. There were three sitting on this log and I got to pick and choose the owl an dBG for about 10 minutes. Just wish I could've gotten close enough to lose at least one of the TCs.
