Hmmm ... maybe this could be improved by expanding dark tones with S/H tool, also a little selective USM on the bird's body. Also, I think I'm seeing some luminance noise in the sky on my monitor. Like the diving angle of the bird. Thanks for the post.

Nice flight pose Rick. The image looks a bit flat to me, I would increase contrast a bit on the bird.

HI Rick,

This image needs more contrast as the looks washed out. I would also add more sharpening!

Also the eye looks rather lifeless...and there is a blueish cast. I do like the pose and the banked tail is pretty cool.

The pose and eye contact are great. Adding to the other comments, I might increase the color temperature a few degrees to remove the blueish cast.

Too blue, too flat and wishy washy. Back to the basics. Digital Basics... :)

This is a first timer for me. Have never seen this species before. The flight and the spread wings have been nicely captured. Artie's repost say it all about the image. On top of that I would have liked to see some catchlight in the eye. That would add a lot of punch to the image. It's nice to see an eye level perspective of this bird.

Rgds,
