Snow Goose coming in for a landing in the cornfields at Bosque.

Nikon D2X, Nikon 300mm F2.8, ISO 200, !/750, F10, hand held.

Hi Judy,

I like the flaired wing and mountains in the bg. You did a good job on the exposure as well. I wish the other wing was more visible and that the birds head was turned a little towards you instead of away from you. There also seems to be a wee bit of sharpening halo under the bird's head.

A head turn would certainly be nice but the mountains add nicely to the BG. Given the shooting conditions this year at Bosque, an image like this wasn't all that easy to get.

Judy, you pulled the trigger at the right moment for the wings, nice extension and detail you captured here. I too think a slight head turn would have added more here and maybe even a little more room at the top. I know that is personal preference though and actually either way works. This image certainly says Bosque for sure!
