Like the compostion with the bird well out of the center. The pine needles look a bit over-sharpened to me. Venice Rookery???

later and love, artie

Great composition and BG. Is the halo only there because it is backlit or did you sharpen it?

Excellent framing and composition. Also wonder if halo is not from back light?

Thanks for the feedback. This was actually in my folks backyard in Naples.

The halo on the heron is there because it was backlit. I am noticing that the pine needles on the web image are showing halos that weren't there in the original image. I'm still trying to fine tune my web sharpening and have recently been trying the Lightroom Mogrify plugin. I'll keep experimenting ;-)

Very original shot - especially the GB! A less sharpened pines will do better.

Good capture Steve. Like the BG and the way you framed it. This might also work cropping it into a vertical pano.

Hi Steve,

Great image! Reminds me so very much of an Asian painting. Would be proud to hang this on my wall.
