Happened upon this fella this morning. It was very accomodating, and from the side it was covered with dew just like most of the vegetation was. Although I did take some images with the dew clearly visible I kinda liked this one best...thought the frontal view had more impact.

Canon 40D + Tamron 28-75 @75mm + 36mm Kenko tube, 1/125s., f/8, ISO 640, handheld, about 90% full-frame (cropped a bit top and left).

Very cool image Daniel, nice background and I like the comp together with the pose...I personally would like more detail in the legs gripping the stalk, but it looks like you were already pushing it a bit handheld. Nicely done.

Cheers!

I like your decision to showcase just the face here, Dan! Looks to me like focus is just slightly off, though; probably due to being handheld - bet it would have been razor sharp with a tripod!

Now that's what I call an "in your face" image! Those eyes...wow!

Hi Dan,

I like the concept here and the detail in the face but I do think you needed more dof to really make it pop. Also, and this is a personal thing, I have a problem with green on green with a green background (or any single color).
