GBH low key! if there is such a thing. Captured with a handheld Nikon D200, 80-400mmVR at 400mm, 1/2000sec, f8, ISO 400, fill flash - SB800 -2.0 (probably not effective here). PP in CS3, cropped a bit.

First thing I think of is too bad it is flying slightly away from you. Wonder what it would look like with all the bright specks cloned out for a true "low key"? :-)

I also wish it were flying towards us but think the dramatic light looks nice

Dan: in my opinion you should clone out the background spots, rotate the image CCW a few degrees to give the bird a more forward look, crop the top and bottom for a pano view, move the bird to the right to give him quite a bit more room to fly into. And thats about it. I said it was my opinion. I also couldn't figure out how you could throw the old liquify brush in the mix. regards~Bill
