Hi Folks:
First of all, just when they fixed BPN, I had to send my laptop to Toshiba
for a new hard drive, as it is 3 1/.2 years old I'm happy I bought the 4 year
warrantty so I won't be out of pocket. Took one of my portable HD's to Library
so I'll give it a go. :D

A wee bit of experimenting with a Curve-billed Thrasher to bring him
out of hiding when having his Sunday bath in our garden.
Would like an opinion on what variety, if any you may like?
#1 is original of Curved Bill Thrasher taking a dust bath,
#2 Sepia-toned image,
#3 Sepia with black mask applied to Thrasher to reveal its original color,
#4 B&W with black mask applied to Thrasher to reveal original color.
All done in CS3
Thought Pano showed it off best ?????. . . . . Uncle Gus

Hi Uncle Gus!
Of the four pictures you posted I much prefer the first one. I think the colour of those BG stones is very pretty and that the other versions do not do justice to the bird and its environment. Love the crop and the image is beautifully sharp.
Hope you get your laptop back soon!!
Best regards,
Nicki

Agree with Nicki have to go with the first

Sure wish you had a better sun angle to illuminate the bird evenly but you could bring out some detail in the shadow. Also the head not as directly at the camera would have shown the eye and beak a lot better !! Excellent feel and a very good image !!!
