This is a big crop but love the way in which the head of the snake is over the water surface.
Critics and comments are highly appreciated:)

This was one rare picture of a snake... It looks really funny when you can see the body under water... Easy one new favorit in snakepictures...

Very cool, I like this a lot. Great composition and being able to see the body underwater adds to it.

Hi Juan!

I find this to be a very powerful image, partially mysterious (underwater), and partially scary (in the sneaky pose). The eye contact adds a lot to it, and I can feel a "bite" coming soon! The colors all work well also. The chin reflection is really interesting, as it looked like a bubble at first glance. No suggestions, very nice!

What I really like is the body showing through :)

Very intriguing image. Like the erect pose of the snake & the apparent distortion of its body in water.

I'm so glad this was you and not me!!! I love the crop and the head angle. I'm just glad he wasn't staring into MY lens!

Hi to everyone and thanks a lot for the nice comments. I mostly photograph birds but this snake was so collaborative that i couldn´t resist the tempatation to get an easy and different image.

:D:D:D Julie this kind of snakes are really small and absolutely peacefull :)

Oh, how unusual and really appealing, Juan! I like it alot - the head just barely on the surface, the reflection of the chin, the somewhat distorted body showing through the water - just cool!!

Very Nice Juan!!! I posted a similar image back on July 2nd called mirror image.....It would be cool to see these 2 images side by side I think! I love the body under the water showing through, the rippling of the water around the snake head as well as the reflection!!! Nice capture!!!!
