Wild looking bird! Great colors.
I don't know if the image can take it, but I would prefer a tighter crop all round.

Thanks, i thought about a tighter crop but would that not take away the natural background in to which the heron is leaping into?

Nice pose. I wouldn't crop tighter but the bird is too centered for my taste. I find the branch in the BG a bit distracting.

Nice pose and intense look on the bird. It is unfortunate that the whites on his chest are blown and the branch growing out of his head is also distracting. If the branch coming out of his head were higher or lower, I think it would have helped tremendously.
