I was at Portland Head Light for sunrise where I met fellow BPN member Grady Weed and his wonderful wife. Unfortunately the visit was too short as I was leading my tour but I hope to make it up in the winter.
I decided to concentrate on this offshore light as the sun was just coming up. This is a single frame image that I cropped down to pano.....even though I liked the full size version...........I preferred this particular one as a pano. Canon Mark 3 with the 100-400mm lens and 1.4 tele. at 560mm and ISO 200 and f16 for 1/50 sec. tripod mounted.
As always, comments welcomed and appreciated.

I like this a lot. Composition works for me. I like what looks like an orange light in the lighthouse. Works very well as a pano.

I absolutely love this, Roman!! The light is gorgeous, the soft horizontal layers lovely, the fog, the delicate details - just wow from me!

Wonderful isolation. I wouldn't mind a touch more to the bottom edge, but otherwise find the composition very pleasing. Nicely done, and thanks for sharing, Roman!

So much expressiveness packed into such a small color range. Amazing!

Indeed, it's a lovely image Roman! The color palette is so pleasing. I love that the sky and water blend into one...the slight fog around the lighthouse base adds to the effect of a lighthouse just floating in the dawn sky. Great job!

Judd said it. It is as if the lighthouse appears from now where out of the fog. Mine was further away in the frame. I like your version better.

Roman,
Absolutely awesome color on this one...The title could be "Lighthouse in the Heavens".

My only comment is that there is some dust spots present on my screen...I cleaned my screen and their still there...

Either way...Great Work !

I think I could probably look at that all day. It's really one of the most ethereal images I've ever seen. The colors, the fog...the lighthouse...it's amazing.
