Oh wow, this is just the coolest image! The colors in the compound eyes are so dramatic. It's threatening and beautiful at the same time.

Very Cool! Jody! Could you enlighten me on "stacking images" I am not familiar with this technique, but I like it! Dan Brown

Wow, really cool, Jody!! Did you stack in order to get everything sharp, or was there another reason? Bothers me just a little that its head is tilted ever so slightly to our right....if there is a reason for this, please share!! :D

Gorgeous detail! I wouldn't mind seeing it straightened out as well but it's a very small distraction.

Sounds terrific but what happened to the image? Where did it go?

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm up at the cottage. :) Stacking is when you take multiple images at different depths, then use a program such as the great free CombineZM to provide a much deeper DOF than is possible from one image.

It is slightly tilted to the right to just drive you nuts, Anita. :D Nope no reason. :) Yes stacking will provide you with a much greater depth of field than is possible with one image, especially at this magnification. (about 7:1)

You can see it as a dark spot on the left. I didn't take enough images to have it show up.
