Beautiful bird and great details. Too bad the tail is clipped and a lower angle would have been great, too. Both might have been possible by just backing up if that was an option. I would sharpen a little less. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful bird Marc. I have to agree with Axel on all counts here. Thanks for posting!

Yes backing up if possible (carefully as to not flush your subject of course!!) would have been a good thing to do as the bird is rather tight all around. I like how the chest feathers meet in the middle just above the belly :-)

A beautiful bird with a perfect EXp but you did need to back up quite a bit to reduce the angle of inclination and fit the whole bird into the frame (as noted above...)

Thanks eveyone for the positive comments.
I have probably cropped this a little tight, I'll submit another when I get home.
All part of a learning curve, which is why I've come to the best bird forum around ;)

Cheers

No apology required, that's a great image as is. A diff crop can make it a bit greater, but not much as it's greatness is already quite great. As is, it approaches the limits of greatness. In my estimation. So to speak.

Here's my resubmitted one from a slightly different angle, with more room.
