Eastern Yellow Robin photographed in eucalypt forest at Yackandandah, Victoria.

Canon 40D, EF500 f/4, 580EX flash, tripod, ISO 800, 1/80, f/9, fec -1, vertical crop from horizontal, neat image noise reduction, I toned down the lower right tree trunk which was a bit over-flashed.

Beautiful bird, great details and eye contact. I would remove the small catchlight and might desaturate the yellows a tad. Thanks for sharing!

This is such typical a pose for these Robins. Well captured. I think the yellows are perfect. They are very dominant in live specimens. :)
Love the little gripping claws.

Beautiful bird & a beautiful image. Lovely details. Colours look fine to me on my monitor.

I've never seen this species before so I can't comment on the yellows...but to me it looks like the brightest part just below the cheek could be desaturated a bit. Sometimes you'd be amazed at the detail hidden in "hot" yellows or reds. I like the composition with the slanted tree trunk. I also like hoe the foot is gripping the bark :-)

I like the pose and eye contact. Good use of flash.

Splendid on all counts. EXP and head angle perfect. Excellent image optimization--the yellows look fabulous. Did you have more above the bird???

Sweet shot. If not for the bark color I might have taken it for a mono-color treatment with that gray head.
