This is way cool. The birds just need some selective sharpening. Even though the sun angle was off a bit (from the right rather than from over your head) it is nice the the cygnet's head is not in the shadow of the adult's neck.

Hi Lisa, YAW. I just meant that I liked the effect of the silhouette.
I selectively sharpened the heads of the adult and cygnet as follows; Unsharp mask at 205, .2, 1 (after creating a Quick Mask). Can you see the difference?

This is way too cute! The selective sharpening makes your subject stand out even better! Was there a tiny catchlight to be had on the little one? Good job on the exposure.
