This is from a morning in may this year at a ringing station within a swamp area in the netherlands. We caught the birds using mistnets and this was one of the better catches of the day. These birds are normally really sculky and so you normally have a hard time just seeing them. But this morning it was really easy :D

What a wonderful opportunity! A few suggestions...

This image, clone out that black mark where the fingers meet the thumb and then do the same to the mark that is on the fourth finger right at the edge of the bottom frame. I'd also take a little off the left side so he sits in the left third instead of dead center.

And next time, take a step or two to the right and get that bird looking at you instead of a straight-on profile. Now you're talkin'...

What a lovely image you have here. Everything works well including the amazing BG, sharpens and exposure. Excellent work!

What a perfect image to portray "Hand of man". Nice job getting a skulking species in hand for a good look with a great BG. Given the purpose of this image, I think eye contact is just right. This works extremely well as a good example of banding.
