taken at pinecrest gardens in miami with the miami crew. it doesnt look sharp to me. the focal point was on the eyeball and locked in on the tripod and with flash. would have thought there would have been more detail and sharper at f/10. any clues? i'm guessing maybe i should have bumped the ISO and faster shutter speed?

D300, 18-200VR at 200mm, f/10, 1/60s, +1.0EV, ISO 200, flash fill with diffusor.

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated

It looks sharp to me Mr. Harold. I like the diagonal perch...where was this little guy? :)

Hey H. It does look a little soft (but then again I haven't had my eyes checked yet) Only thing is maybe a little more canvas to the right, exposure looks good.

Harold, I think the eye is sharp but the body does look a little soft to me and I think the right side is good but I'd like a little off the left, please! I haven't attempted much with flash so I can't give you much help with that.

Hi Harold - this is a beautiful portrait, lovely and minimal. Agree with Katie that the left is a little soft but for me this does not detract from the overall effect.

thanks guys!! gus, it was at the end of the path to the right. that log is cut off at the side of the path about ten feet from the end on the right side of the path.

katie, i wasnt sure where to crop the left and right. didnt want to cut too much off the left and get accused of cutting off the tail and the way it is, the head falls on the ROT. guess i could shave a little off.
