A Hooded Warbler at Sabine Woods near Port Arthur, Texas in late April.

Loved the area, but next year think I'll do a workshop where perches are a bit closer - still had to crop a bit despite using a long lens.

Nicely caught, for me the darks are a little to dark and the yellows in the bird I think are just clipped, maybe a little less Saturation and Contrast would be beneficial.

Oh man I hope to see this warbler some day! Nice perch, pose, background, but I agree that the yellows are hot in spots, and contrast strong overall.

Super capture of a stunning bird , very difficult to get it right with the given colors and quite contrasty tones .
AS presented it does not work for me on the tonal front .... maybe with a more subtle color and tonal editing approach .AS the yellows have very little detail and the dark parts are very dense .... for me personally
