Hi folks ... back to the Swiss Alps
Image captured on a decently lit late morning , as the Choughs always appeared quite late to that location .
They were always looking for food as the location was frequented a lot with humans
Wish I had a bit more room at the foot of the frame

Super shot, it took a second or two for my eyes to accommodate but you have some super detail in the dark plumage. I like the pose and the setting - well done.

Thanks Jon ... glad you finally see the details in the dark plumage :bg3:, no wonder if you look at the strong contrast .

Lovely details under an exposure situation that would trip-up some. If it were mine I'd eliminate the blade of grass jutting out from the bird as well as the grasses in the BR corner.

Thanks Dave .... the grasses do not bother me at all . I do actually like them

Wow! What a bird and a wonderful image. I am fine with the room at the bottom. I'd lose the grasss strand that is poking him.
