Dan, this is really very nice! Did you have to blur your BG with your choice of F11 aperture or was it this silky smooth in camera?

Nice shot but for me I think the flash has reflected quite obviously off the male, with that much available light I would be tempted to take shots with and without flash as I often find the ones without come out better. I suppose a lot depends on angles and a certain amount of luck or good fortune.

Nice image with good use of DOF and nice placement of the leaf vertically thru the frame.

Thanks all. Julie, the BG is pretty much out of the camera. I had to remove a few dust spots, but thats about it. The Bluets are backlit and the BG is distant greenery and water (4 feet away). By the way, there were thousands of these guys in this area and many pairs breeding but this was really the only pair with a nice BG that I could find, the other shots all had messy BG's. Dan

Great pose and the BG is great!! And I also like the diagonal comp.

Stepping one foot to the left would have put the camera more parallel and helped with the sharpness.
