Couple of days back I'd posted the same individual but from 'top view'. Image here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15605

Below is another perspective. The fungi growth looked like 2 tier berth & this guy was munching away happily resting on the lower berth.

Techs:
Nikon D300 + Nikkor 105mm f2.8 VR micro
f/16, 1/2, ISO400, tripod
Ronsdorfer Talsperre, Wuppertal - Germany

Critiques welcome...

Always nice to find a subject that you know won't disappear quickly! :) And such an interesting one at that. I know I've never seen a blue slug.

I went back to your first post and find that I like that perspective better than this one even though this one gives a better view of the slug. There seems to be a bit too much bark here (left and bottom) and that detracts from the slug in my estimation. Maybe a tighter crop would help keep the focus on the slug.

I'm in total agreeance with Ed on the crop here. I do love the persepective here though.
Just a tighter crop may suit it a little more on this one. And maybe brighten it a tad?
Good job on getting more than one perspective on this.

Hey Kaushik, a very cool slug, love the color and textures in his body, and all the more reason to shoot this guy larger in the frame, or make a tighter crop with what you have.

I agree on the crop and I do like this perspective better because we get to see him more face-to-face. I'd also try to lighten up the dark and midtones just a bit so there's more detail in the wooded areas.

Very cool and different. Agree with the cropping comments. I love the Slug's green/blue tones.
