Hi Jon ... love the action captured and the pose is awesome .
Sharpness is great ....
Processing is a bit off to me ... in terms of tone and color .
Image is very heavy and too yellow .... just my take , matter of taste .

Very cool work and worth to give it another go on the processing front

Pose is great, but I agree something is quite off with the processing. The bird looks a bit crunchy/grainy, and the black on the head/face feels really heavy. There's also a halo along the throat. Image is nice, so it's definitely worth another run.

Andreas, I'll take another look, I see now what you refer to with the yellows and perhaps i could lift the dark to mid tones a little.
DorianI noticed the halo, I went back to the raw file and applied almost no sharpening and little masking, it was there from the start. Equally when it came to the jpeg the sharpening was minimal and feathered.
