First post from new backyard! I have a large garage and I put my portable hide/blind in there, and raise one of the front doors a few feet so no wind blowing and no rain - relatively comfortable. The crows are quite skittish, I used a tripod in order to be slightly above ground level, I wanted the feet to be visible.

Your going to be busy.... sounds good.....Well captured Jon...the blacks look nice, not easy to get the feather detail on these birds....The raised foot adds....Good HA and the greens in the BG show the bird well....

Hi Jon, I like the image. The blacks on the bird look great, I even like the lawn/grass background. Your image gives me ideas for images on the grass of the golf course that is my backyard. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jon ... glad you have good opportunities at your new home .
Nice clean shot you have managed to capture here ... of this Crow .
Walking pose is nice and the tilted head is cool .
Surprised to see you processed such rich greens :bg3: ... I quite like it , but might go a touch lighter .
Tones in the crow looking good , albeit some false colors have crept into the darker tones .

Backyard bird photography can be real fun, glad you've got yourself an opportunity to setup! Image looks good - strong sunshine but not harsh. Raised foot adds interest. Some detail lost in the deeper blacks on the shaded sided - perhaps more to recover in post?
