Kurt:

Sharp, well exposed despite the bright light. I like the subtle variation in the background.
I might be tempted to clean up one or two highlights, like the one on the tip of the bill, and might consider removing the lower catchlight in the eye. The latter is truly personal preference.

Cheers

Looks good apart from a loss of detail in the darks, a selective mask of Darks 4/5 and a lift in exposure helps.

Well captured Kurt.....The details and colours on the head look fab...The red eye adds a nice colour boost....Perfect HA and sharpness.

Hi Kurt, I love the red eye, perfect head angle and nice blue background. I agree with Jon regarding the blacks/darks, not sure what you use for post processing but in Lightroom I would back off the black and open the shadows a bit. Thank you for sharing.

Image does look very good to me , Kurt .
A very pleasing color contrast with the blues of the water and the subject colors .
Personally I would burn the brighter parts of the plumage , everything else does look perfect to me .
Comp and details are pleasing

A great look at that sloping forehead line! Good colours, details. I'd be OK with a bit looser crop, without losing the gist of a tight portrait. Super nice overall.

Very nice portrait. I don't mind the loss of detail in the dark areas, it's just beyond the limitations of modern digital sensors.
