I like it!!! A lot! Eye contact, sharp, nice wings. Whites on face look a little hot maybe and the one wing tips fades some into the pines..Bet you could lighten that just a tich?

Very cool image Mr H

Nicely done Mr. Harold,
I like the wing position and the good eye contact. the details in the wings are dead on. and great exposure...

Hi Harold - nice capture so lucky to be able to access this type behaviour.

Agree with Nonda about the wing tip, On my monitor it looks a little dark, what were the lighting conditions?

it was 4:30pm and borderline sweet light. maybe a tad still harsh, therefore i was compensating for the lighter areas on the head and the other parts turned out a little dark. it could be easily corrected cause i havent touched it at all.

thanks for all the comments. which wing are you talking about? the right or the left? they obviously look good on mine.

Hi Harold, it looks like you caught this at just the right moment while he was still infront of that nice background with enough contrast for the nesting branch visibility. I like it.
