Here's another one from my recent shoot. This time a juvenile Black fronted Dotterel.

D500/500PF, 1/3200th sec@f7.1, ISO1000, manual mode HH. Processed in ACR, PS and TPAI. A few bright spots removed only. Cheers.

Paul I think that is the best frame you have put up here.Detail perfect colours the same
Don't care that its in the mud because that's where they always are .Maybe,Maybe you could lighten off the LHS of the birds' face .Not sure so probably forget it. I love the bits hanging off young birds; adds to the
slightly disorganised picture of youth. Well done from nearly underground!

Super shot, colours and composition look good, the low angle works very well indeed.

I like the pose, setting, and loose feather on the flank, but there is something off about the processing and the IQ. The whole bird looks a bit hazy, and there are patches of noise here and there, particularly under the beak
and on the shadowed portion of the upper breast. There is also a band of noise coming back off the bird's crown. There's another just under and left of the dark green patch on the upper border. So, I think the ingredients are
here but it needs a rebake to get everything out of it.

Dorian: Yes, I see it now. I'll take another look at processing again, Cheers.

Hi Paul, I like the image. I now from trying how difficult it is top capture these wee ones, always on the move, remaing still for only seconds. I think the bird looks fantastic, the background as Dorian commented is splotchy in parts, wondering how you processed the background and noise. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Joe. The background noise patches are the result of some Topaz processing issues. I have since 'fixed' the issue. Cheers.
