I chanced upon this pheasant as I was walking down a country path, I had o be quick as soon as it spots me it would be off! I was quite pleased with the result.
Thanks to all who viewed and commented on my previous post.

Nice sharp portrait. like the leg lift. Looks like it needs a little clockwise rotation.

This is a fantastic result at ISO 20,000. The belly -- where you've presumable lifted the shadows -- is getting noisy, but the head and neck look great. I assume you didn't do much if any cropping. Bird is very close to right hand side,
so a bit more room there would be good. More room below would also help, but my bet is that you don't have it! But a very fine result!

Nice work, Jon. Wonderful at ISO 20,000. I agree with the previous comments. Thank you for sharing.

I would not have noticed the high iso if you did not mention.... I like the bird, the surroundings, not so much...

Nice portrait Jon , a well timed shot caught in running action
Head turn is nice , well controlled very high iso shot ... nice work on that front .
Would agree with Dorian about your chosen crop , but not on the noise front .
The subject does look a bit thin in parts from the luminosity POV in my opinion ... surprised to see the greens that " intense " :w3

Overall a fine image
