Here's another frame from my Colorado visit. This Common Goldeneye took a flyby. A little tighter than I normally like, but I didn't have anymore room in front. BG is the river partially covered in ice.

Spot on looks ideal to me wonderful colours and excellent details.

Really nice view of this guy. Yeah, it's a bit tight, but everything else looks pretty good. A really amazing result with a zoom and TC, but that combo seems to deliver for you all the time. Love the wing position.

Noise isn't an issue, but I still would been at 1/4000 and ISO 1600. You might try opening the blacks on the head a touch more, but that's really, really minor.

Kurt, this handsome bugger showed up well for you and you processed him nicely.

It was a successful outing for you congratulations!

nice image of the bufflehead, my fav. duck. you got good details in both whites and blacks and I like the water drops. I'd warm up the colors a tad. in a perfect world the BG would have a been a bit more uniform

Hi Kurt, you guys certainly have some spectacular ducks in your neck of the woods. Sweet image, beautiful light, great wing position - tight crop has been mentioned. Fantastic result, and with a TC to boot!

Overall, well done Kurt, agree with Arash's point, but also apply a hint more localised sharpening on the eye.
