Well captured Jon.....Great pose and HA....Nice detail on the bird....I see cloning all along the bottom of the frame...

Yes I did. I felt so minor I didn't mention it...I should have. I extended canvas and cloned a little bit over that.

Hi Jon, I really like the wings and the raised foot. I agree about the cloning...too obvious. I think you can fix it though

Hi Jon ... apart from the cloning/extension the image looks nice in terms of detail / tone and colors .
Even at 1/2500sec you have motion blur in the feet , showing how fast these critters move .
The pose is unusual ... and i am 50/50 about it , does look a bit strange to be honest .
But hey why not ... :bg3:

I echo the other comments and note that this is. winter plumage DUNLIN; knots are similar but with stubbier beaks.
