Hi Folks:

Saw this little bird out on the edge of the creek across the muddy creek bottom, and never really got a good look at him until the photo when I realized I had seen my first Wilson's Snipe aka Common Snipe I was told. Muddy shoes and all it was a nice find . . . So far away I had to make a tight crop to size the bird. . . . Gus

HI Gus Great find !!!

Light was not kind to you but you did the most of it. The crop as you mention did hurt the quality, would suggest leaving a little more room up front since the bird looks centered Good catch !!!!

You found him Gus,
These little guys are hard to find. Good capture with a nice head angle...the next time, tell Mr. Sun to take a break...:D even though the light was harsh, you pulled through...

Good job in an impossible situation; incorrect sun angles, esp. in bright light, are fatal but only 100% of the time.... Bird is too centered. I like the vegetation in front of the bird.

Congratulations on a first Gus! Harsh sunlight to take this in, you did well with the working situation.
