Another one from the archives... this guy was the first one we spotted on shore, shot from a moving zodiac.

Lovely image and framing is superb, Steve. Superb colours and tonality, wonderful detail.

I like the pose, very much. And POV is great. Those patches of snow/ice add context to this frame.

Subject is super sharp despite the moving zodiac, did you have any support at all?

Hi Steve .... this image does show the future of climate and PB´s IMHO .
Icefree environment and a PB with a " depressive " facial expression .... well this a very subjective description of mine , but was my initial thought on openeing the thread .
Technically nicely done when taking the techs into account .
Nicely processed as expected .

Can't afford to go along your route .... and I am very skeptical that the options will be as good as in the past .
As things do change dramatically alongside the climate change .
Would present the PB my " woolen grey card " on my feet and he would start to smile for you .... and be a happy camper for a " better image " :t3

Would agree, I think we were very fortunate to go the opposite way and strike Gold compared to Loi. Everywhere is affected sadly by Climate change (or is that fake news?) and perhaps limits our choice from what we used to know. In addition costs has gone through the roof, hate to think what I would get charged for a Private vehicle in Bots now!!!!

I echo all the comments of others; this is a great image. Shooting angle makes for much better connection with subject that the overhead-type shot I've seen elsewhere. Curious if the animal will be around when I have enough money to go and see it.....
