Hi Jon ... a very nice capture , albeit I do wish the head was tilted a bit higher . But this is complaining on a big level .
Not too fuzzed about the processing ... a bit too dark for my taste , no real separation from bg from the tonal and color perspective . very much green and yellow dominated .
but this is just only my opinion .

nonetheless a really cool image

Nice and sharp and good flight action. I also wish for a bit different head angle on this, so that was a bit unfortunate. But still a very good image!

I agree about the head angle concern. If there was an obvious 'target or subject' that the bird was looking at, I find the story telling helps compensate for the head angle in some cases.
I find the DOF blur effective.
There is a diffuse green cast to my eye, which tends to reduce the visual separation between the bird and the subject. By removing the color cast on the bird, for me it pops out from the BG.

Yes, the head angle is the main issue here, but Randy has made a nice improvement with his repost. Not an easy frame t pull off, but you did pretty well.
