another frame of the Gannet , this time with nesting material while checking for the partner to deliver it .

F 8 ; Iso 1000 ; 1/2500 sec ; man exp

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; cropped and added canvas to bottom and RHS for better composition

Hi Andreas, looks good to me, interesting image. Details, wing position, head position, color and background all work well together. I noticed you used the 1 DX, wondered where your R camera was... thank you for sharing.

First intensive shooting with the 1Dx III since I bought it in 2020 :eek3: , as this was the first photography trip since Covid arrived .

Good to see a gannet flying toward us. Nice light and sharp, but with the head turned away the bird's eye is close to invisible ...

Andreas, quite a nice incoming pose. The seaweed adds a good bit to it.

You did very well to get some decent dof with that somewhat shorter lens! Colors look very nice and clean.

Frankly, I don't think I would have processed this one just due to lack of eye contact. That said, I can't fault you for doing so.

Thanks Brian ... I am fully ok with you and others reservation regarding the eye contact , but as I said to Arthur ... they just look down shortly before landing .
