Have a few 'dancing egret' shots in my files and they always make me smile and look at them a little longer than other frames when I look at old stuff. This gives me a similar feeling, I love the post, and the open bill is a nice extra touch. Variation in the sky background is a plus

Ditto Mr. Poole. In addition, I love the green lores and the clouds. What date?

The clouds add so much! Excellent pose and the translucence to the wing feathers.

A fun image, the exposure colours and pose with the identifying features all make for a great shot, I really like it.
